Job summary

Chartwells K-12 is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time cashier/food service worker positions at Ferndale Public Schools in Ferndale, MI. Schedule: Monday through Friday, with shifts from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm or 10:00 am to 2:00 pm; online applications accepted only.

The role requires prior food service experience and includes cashier duties with the POS system, basic food prep assistance, stocking, and keeping stations clean.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Point of Sale system and assists the Chef.
• Performs cashier duties using the POS system.
• Keeps station and equipment clean and organized.
• Provides service in all retail areas including cashiering and line serving.
• Maintains cash accuracy and deposits at end of shift.
• Inventories and restocks supplies and food products.
• Sets up serving line and ensures proper food temperatures.
• Serves hot and cold items to customers.
• Sets up items for purchase daily.
• Keeps refrigerator stocked and rotates products.
• Records temperatures and floor stock daily.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
