Job summary

Bright Horizons Elm Grove Day Nursery and Preschool in Kingston upon Thames is seeking an Early Years Chef to prepare, cook, and present age-appropriate meals with minimal waste. You will cater to dietary requirements, communicate with teams and parents about nutrition, lead cookery club sessions, and support nursery activities, such as BBQs and staff meetings.

Previous cooking experience and COSHH/food safety credentials are required; this is a fixed-term role until approximately

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in domestic or commercial settings.
• Passion for nutrition and inspiring healthy eating.
• Knowledge of managing dietary requirements and food allergies.
• Food Safety Level 2 or equivalent must be attained on day 1.
• Sound COSHH knowledge and safe food handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present age-appropriate meals for nursery children with minimal waste.
• Ensure dietary requirements are catered for and communicated to teams.
• Lead cookery club sessions and support nursery activities (BBQs, Fetes, staff meetings).
