Job summary

Baldor Specialty Foods, Inc. is seeking a Local Delivery Driver for 1st shift in Holtsville, NY. You will operate FMCSA-regulated straight trucks to deliver up to 12 pallets per route to customers and Baldor facilities, ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires a valid license, DOT card, and strong English communication. You will load/unload with equipment, complete pre/post trip checks, and provide excellent customer service on every delivery.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience.
• Experience operating FMCSA-regulated vehicles (preferred).
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Proficient reading, writing and speaking English to comply with FMCSA/DOT.
• Clean driving record per Company policy.
• Knowledge of products for proper handling and quality control.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, routes and delivery instructions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver up to 12 pallets per route to customer locations and/or Baldor facilities, both intra- and interstate.
• Safely operate FMCSA-regulated straight trucks in compliance with all DOT and Company regulations.
• Utilize hand trucks, lift gates, and other material-handling equipment to load and unload pallets at delivery destinations.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT and Company policies.
• Accurately document deliveries and obtain customer signatures using electronic Bills of Lading (BOL) in accordance with Company guidelines.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, dispatch, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Handle products with care to ensure quality and integrity of goods throughout transport and delivery.
