Meijer in the Chicago area is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service in our fast-paced Fresh departments. You will connect with customers, share product details, keep displays appealing, stock and merchandise to standards, and use store technology to complete tasks accurately.

This role emphasizes safety and quality, working across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery, with opportunities for career growth and education benefits.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
