Job summary

Clemson University is hiring a Building/Grounds Specialist Custodial for 4:45am to 12:45pm shifts. The role includes cleaning duties, floor care, and equipment operation as part of a facilities team.

Responsibilities include inspections with supervision, inventory and supply management, and on-call support. Prior custodial or housekeeping experience and a high school diploma or custodial certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial, housekeeping or pest control work directly related to area.
• Education - High School or Equivalent - Certification in Custodial Services.
• Licenses - Drivers License Class D normal < 26,000

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, and polishing floors in assigned area.
• Perform floor care, waxing, buffing, and dry and wet stripping floors.
• Inspecting and data management: accompany supervisor during inspections and discuss results, follow safety guidance, test new products and update records.
• Inventory and equipment maintenance: assist in maintaining inventory, ordering, and restocking supplies in assigned areas.
• Training and on-call support: complete custodial training, university trainings, and respond to emergencies, weekends, and snow callbacks.
