Job summary

AmeriCorps’ Early Learning Tutor role places you in a pre-kindergarten classroom to boost early literacy and math through proven activities, partnering with a teacher to guide discussions, reading, writing, singing, and play.

You’ll receive training and coaching, plus an education award upon completion. The program runs 08/24/2026–06/12/2027, with a full-time schedule in the Minneapolis area and a focus on student growth and community engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.

Ninety percent of a child’s brain development happens before the age of 5, and we’re on a mission to help our youngest learners start strong! Join Early Learning Corps as an Early Learning Tutor and you’ll spend your days in a pre-kindergarten classroom to help students build skills and confidence. We’ll train you to deliver proven activities and coach you every step of the way! How does it work? Partnering with a teacher, you’ll help enhance learning. Whether talking, reading, writing, singing, or playing with students, you’ll be helping them to build early literacy and math skills. With the extra attention and support, you’ll make an incredible impact and help ignite a love of learning!
