Job summary

Early Learning Corps, powered by Ampact, is seeking an Early Learning Tutor to join a pre-kindergarten classroom. You’ll deliver proven activities, coach students, and help build early literacy and math skills with support from an onsite coach.

You’ll work 32 hours per week during the 2026-27 school year, Monday to Friday with daytime hours. AmeriCorps members receive a biweekly paycheck and comprehensive benefits including health insurance and student loan support.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading and writing.
• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Ninety percent of a child's brain development happens before the age of 5, and we're on a mission to help our youngest learners start strong!

Join Early Learning Corps as an Early Learning Tutor and you'll spend your days in a pre-kindergarten classroom to help students build skills and confidence. We'll train you to deliver proven activities and coach you every step of the way!

How does it work? Partnering with a teacher, you'll help enhance learning. Whether talking, reading, writing, singing, or playing with students, you'll be helping them to build early literacy and math skills.

With the extra attention and support, you'll make an incredible impact and help ignite a love of learning!

Essential Qualifications

Schedule

We are currently hiring for the 2026-27 school year. Positions run October 2026-June 2027.

• 32 hours per week (less in weeks with holidays or school release days)
• Daytime hours (correspond with school start and end times)
• Monday-Friday (no weekends)
• Time off on holidays and school release days

Part-time positions are also available at 20 hours per week!

Pay & Benefits

Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck (stipend) every two weeks. Compensation: $16.78 per hour served and additional perks!
