Chroma Early Learning Academy in Georgia is seeking an Assistant Childcare Teacher to support lead teachers in delivering safe, nurturing care and development for young children. You will help implement engaging activities, maintain a clean classroom, and communicate with families and staff.

A passion for early childhood education and teamwork is essential, with CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Meet Georgia’s Bright from the Start and Quality Rated guidelines.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• Pass a Background Check.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.
• Passion for early childhood education and the social-emotional well-being of young children.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers in providing day-to-day care to children in the classroom, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
• Oversee the maintenance of a clean, safe, and engaging classroom environment, adhering to Georgia DECAL and Quality Rated standards.
• Collaborate with lead teachers to design and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote sensory exploration, early communication, and gross motor development.
• Monitor and record developmental milestones, sharing insights with families to ensure their child's progress and well-being.
• Comply with all licensing and program guidelines related to health, safety, and sanitation, upholding the highest standards in childcare.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities required for Quality Rated compliance.
