Paradigm Care & Enrichment Center in Detroit is seeking dependable Assistant Teachers to join our warm childcare team. You will support Lead Teachers, help with activities, meals, and safety, while learning through training and coaching.

Qualifications

• Dependable with reliable attendance.
• Positive attitude and teamwork.
• Patient, caring, and good with young children.
• Willing to learn, take feedback, and grow.
• Able to complete background checks and fingerprinting.
• Willing to complete required childcare training, including CPR and First Aid.
• Meet applicable childcare licensing requirements.

Responsabilités

• Assist Lead Teachers with activities and lesson plans.
• Supervise children and maintain a safe classroom environment.
• Engage children through play, conversation, learning, and positive interactions.
• Model appropriate behavior and support social-emotional development.
• Assist with diapering, toileting, handwashing, and personal care needs.
• Prepare and serve snacks and light meals.
• Help children during meals, rest, transitions, and play.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Complete daily cleaning and light housekeeping tasks.
• Communicate with Lead Teachers and directors.
• Follow Paradigm policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety procedures.
