Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore is hiring Assistant Teachers for the Stoler Early Learning Center in Owings Mills. You will support teachers to deliver constructivist, child-centered learning for 6 weeks through kindergarten, with emphasis on social-emotional growth and Jewish values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; 90-hour Certification, CDA, Associates or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, education, child development, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of growth and development of young children and classroom application.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, supervised environment for all children.
• Document and reflect on children’s play and learning.
• Support Lead Teacher with lesson planning, behavior guidance, and parent communication.
• Collaborate with classroom teams to maintain a constructive, inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain clean, well-organized classrooms and adhere to MSDE guidelines.
