Job summary

Texana Center is seeking an Early Intervention Specialist I (EIS) to provide Specialized Skills Training and case management for a designated caseload in Waller and Fort Bend Counties. The EIS I may participate with the Interdisciplinary Team to evaluate needs, develop plans of care, and implement activities to support children and families.

The position requires documentation of direct service visits, independence, and travel within the catchment area, with adherence to compliance policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field with three hours in infant/toddler development or special education.
• Knowledge of infant/child development.
• Knowledge of early intervention techniques.
• Knowledge of community resources.
• Knowledge of assessment techniques.
• Interpersonal skills for positive interaction.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment with departmental policy.
• Ability to use/interpret standardized testing instruments.
• Texas Driver's License.
• Acceptance into the EIS registry, working toward full credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide SST and/or case management for a designated caseload in two counties.
• Collaborate with IDT to evaluate needs, develop care plans, and implement activities.
• Document direct service visits and maintain records.
• Travel within the assigned catchment area.
• Adhere to compliance policy and program guidelines.
• Working hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm; adjustments may be required.
