About Play, LLC is seeking an Early Interventionist to support families with children birth to six years with developmental delays or disabilities across Charleston, North Charleston, and Summerville counties in South Carolina. The role requires residency in SC and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

The position offers a full-time schedule, competitive base salary, mileage reimbursement, and benefits including 401(k), health and life insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in related field and 1 year of documented experience with children birth to six years old.
• Experience in early intervention, teaching, or related field preferred or relevant on-the-job training.
• Must reside in South Carolina and be able to work in Charleston, North Charleston, and Summerville counties.

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
• Perform family training with caregiver and child in home, daycare, or natural environment.
• Provide training, education, and support to families in child development, parenting, and family functioning.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote child development.
• Monitor progress of child and family.

Prior early interventionist, teaching and early child development experience preferred or recent & upcoming college graduate with a degree in a related field and a willingness for on-the-job training.

Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science, or any related field, plus 1 year of documented experience reflected on your resume working with children birth to six years old. Prior early interventionist experience is preferred.

OR

Bachelor’s Degree in ANY field and 5 years of documented experience with infants and toddlers OR children age birth to 5 years with disabilities. Please be sure to include all work experience on your resume.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide family-centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities
• Perform Family Training with the caregiver and child in their home, daycare or natural environment setting
• Provide training, education, and support to families in the areas of child development, parenting, and family functioning
• Develop and implement strategies to promote the development of the child
• Monitor the progress of the child and family

Job Type:

Full-time

Salary:

A base salary of $40,000 a year & travel mileage reimbursement at .45 per mile up to a $565 reimbursable monthly cap. With mileage reimbursement there could be a compensation earnings of up to $46,780 annually.

Location:

Must reside in the counties listed above and the surrounding areas in South Carolina.

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday (8:30 -5PM)

Experience:

• 1 year (Preferred) - Prior early interventionist, teaching and early child development experience preferred or recent & upcoming college graduate with a degree in a related field and a willingness for on-the-job training

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required) & Reliable Car
• CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification (Heartsaver, Infant & Child) (Preferred)
