Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles seeks a Teacher for its Early Head Start Program in California. You will design age-appropriate activities, nurture development, and collaborate with families to support young children's growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 3 Infant/Toddler Units on official transcript required upon hire, 6 units within 12 months.
• Valid EMSA First Aid; Adult, Infant and Child CPR Certifications (8 hours).
• 9 Hour course in Preventative Health Practices (PHP).
• Current TB, influenza, pertussis, and measles vaccination and physical exam.
• 1 year of experience with infant/toddler, preferred; 2 years of teaching experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of Head Start performance standards, preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a Bachelor's program preferred.
