Job summary

Pasco County Schools is seeking an Early Head Start Caregiver for the Land O' Lakes area in Florida. The role is full-time with benefit eligibility and part of the Early Head Start Programs.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, and the CDA credential or completion within two years. Training in First Aid, CPR, and AED is expected within three months of hire, with annual background checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Satisfactory completion of American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED, or complete within three months of hire.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, or complete within two years of hire.
• All hires must meet the Early Childhood physical examination requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead children toward intellectual, social, emotional, physiological growth.
• Assist families to receive comprehensive services.
• Work as part of the Early Head Start grant program.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for leading children toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, social, emotional, physiological growth, and maturation and for assisting families to receive comprehensive services. This position is part of the Early Head Start Grant.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) from an accredited institution
• OR
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS

• Satisfactory completion of American Red Cross First Aid course, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) course, or complete within three months of hire
• Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, or complete within two years of hire
• All hires must meet the Early Childhood physical examination requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Two years’ experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position
