Job summary

Club Z! Tutoring is seeking an Early Elementary private tutor to provide one-on-one sessions with 1st through 4th graders in the greater Bethesda area. You will help students build foundational math, reading, writing and SEL skills through personalized lesson plans.

The role emphasizes flexible, in-person scheduling, strong communication with parents, and a supportive learning environment. Starting pay is $31 per hour with opportunities for professional growth and impactful work.

Qualifications

• Passion for teaching and engaging with younger students.
• Strong knowledge of early elementary education, especially foundational ELA, reading fluency, phonics, and numeracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience with younger students preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Join Club Z! Tutoring as an Early Elementary private tutor in the greater Bethesda, MD area!

You'll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to young learners, helping them develop foundational skills in math, reading, writing, and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). Our focus is on creating individualized learning plans that align with the student's age and individual learning style.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-person, one-on-one tutoring sessions with individually matched 1st through 4th graders and other early elementary school-age students located in the greater Bethesda area.
• Develop and implement personalized activity-based and other grade-level appropriate learning lesson plans
• Communicate progress and goals with parents
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment
