Job summary

AOS Staffing in Missouri is seeking a dedicated Teacher Assistant to support classrooms for students aged 3–12. You will work closely with teachers and under the principal's guidance to reinforce lessons through hands-on activities and individual or small-group support.

The role includes preparing materials, supervising lunch and field trips, and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment. Strong English communication, flexibility, and a willingness to learn basic computer skills

Qualifications

  • Must have 60+ college credits or an associate’s degree or higher.
  • Preferred credentials: Missouri ParaPro or Paraprofessional Assessment.
  • Completion of Missouri’s Substitute Training Program or Substitute Teaching Certificate.
  • Board of Education approval may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting individual students or small groups to reinforce lessons
  • Guiding independent study, enrichment, and remedial activities
  • Assisting with grading, prepping materials, and organizing classroom tools
  • Helping lead group activities and school-wide events
  • Preparing supplies and instructional resources for daily learning

Pay Rate: $17.87/hour

Hours: Vary by school; shifts fall between 7 AM–5 PM

What You’ll Do

As a Teacher Assistant, you’ll be an essential partner in the classroom—helping students ages 3–12 grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Working closely with a classroom teacher and under the guidance of the principal, you’ll bring learning to life through hands‑on support and meaningful interactions.

Your daily impact will include:

Education Requirements

  • Valid Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate
  • Approval by the Board of Education
