Job summary

Futures First in the Kansas City Metro is hiring a Social Emotional Learning Specialist (SELS) to provide weekly, in-person SEL lessons and coaching across early education sites. You will model positive caregiving, deliver classroom-embedded coaching, and collaborate with site staff and a Mental Health Specialist to strengthen children’s social-emotional development.

This full-time, 37.5-hour position offers a salary of $23.08–$28.21 per hour with benefits including health insurance, FSA/HSA,

Qualifications

• Build partnerships with teachers, educators, and site staff to support SEL implementation.
• Provide weekly in-person classroom visits to deliver SEL lessons and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly, in-person classroom visits to deliver SEL lessons and model positive caregiving.
• Offer embedded coaching and use coaching/consultation models to set goals with staff.
• Attend site events (family/staff) including occasional evenings.
• Create and deliver training sessions for educators and families with site directors.
• Participate in meetings and onboarding within grant teams and partner sites.
• Collect data, complete documentation accurately and on time, and uphold ethical standards per NAEYC.
