Job summary

Arbor Associates is hiring an Early Education Teacher Assistant for per diem roles across Greater Boston-area childcare centers, Head Start programs, and preschools. Earn flexibility with a varied schedule while supporting children birth to 5 in diverse early education settings.

You will assist lead teachers with routines, activities, and documentation, while maintaining health, safety, and confidentiality standards.

Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers in delivering age-appropriate, play-based learning activities aligned with program curriculum and developmental goals.
• Assist with daily classroom routines including arrival and dismissal, meals, rest time, transitions, and outdoor play.
• Supervise children by sight and sound at all times, maintaining a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
• Provide hands-on support with personal care needs including diapering, toileting, handwashing, and feeding as developmentally appropriate.
• Support children's social-emotional development by modeling positive behavior, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and well-prepared classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with lead teachers, program staff, and families, reporting any health, safety, or behavioral concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation including attendance records, daily logs, and incident reports as required.
• Follow all program policies, EEC licensing regulations, health and safety protocols, and confidentiality requirements.
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and accountability in every assignment.
