Job summary

The role combines on-site assessments with telehealth sessions and family support, offering a hybrid work model. Candidates should have extensive experience with this age group and diverse therapeutic modalities.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Child Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Registration with HPCSA as Psychologist (Clinical Psychologist preferred).
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience working with young children and their families.
• Specialized knowledge in assessing and treating developmental disorders (e.g., ASD, ADHD).
• Proficiency in telehealth and related technologies.
• Excellent diagnostic, clinical reasoning and intervention skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of infants, toddlers and young children.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with evidence-based approaches (play therapy, CBT adapted for young children).
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions, both in-person and via telehealth.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, pediatricians, educators and other health professionals for holistic care.
• Offer psychoeducation and support to families to promote child well-being.
• Monitor progress and maintain confidential records.
