Vanderbilt University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Classical and Religious Studies, beginning Fall 2027. The successful candidate will research ancient texts, teach undergraduate courses on Christianity, the New Testament, and religion theory, and contribute to core curriculum.

We welcome scholars who collaborate across texts and traditions, including Eastern Orthodoxy, and who employ innovative computational methods.

Formación

• Scholarly potential in religious studies, with focus on early Christianity
• Ability to teach undergraduate courses in Christianity, New Testament, and religion theories

Responsabilidades

• Teach undergraduate courses in Classical and Religious Studies
• Contribute to Arts & Sciences Core curriculum and Graduate Department of Religion
