An established educational institution seeks a dedicated Early Childhood teacher to foster the physical, social, and emotional development of young learners. Reports To: Building Principal
Position Purpose:
The Early Childhood teacher creates and maintains a program that focuses on the physical, social, and emotional development of each child. This includes developmentally-appropriate student learning activities in the areas of cognition, creative expression, communication, social, physical, and emotional development which meet the unique needs of each child, with regard to his/her level of comprehension and maturation.
Preferred Qualifications: Current certification as a teacher and endorsement in the area of Early Childhood Unified in the State of Kansas and have experience as a teacher of preschool students.
Qualifications: Current Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Unified License.
Physical/Emotional Requirements: The incumbent may be required to use the skills and abilities outlined below during any part of the working day: speaking, hearing, visual, reading, writing, word processing, mobility, consistency of temperament, ability to work with a variety of problems at the same time, and stamina for working long hours and in stress-producing environments.

Terms of Employment:
9 months; salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.
Evaluation:
Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board policy on evaluation of certified professional personnel.
