Position Overview
  • As an Early Childhood Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our lead teachers in creating a positive and enriching learning experience for children.
  • You will work collaboratively with the teaching team to facilitate the educational and developmental growth of our students.
Responsibilities
  • Assist Lead Teacher: Collaborate with the lead teacher to plan and implement age‑appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
Supervision
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment while ensuring the well‑being and safety of all children at all times.
Engage and Interact
  • Actively engage with children through play, storytelling, and creative activities, fostering a love for learning.
Support Individual Needs
  • Provide additional support to children with special needs, as required, to ensure they fully participate and benefit from the curriculum.
Observation and Reporting
  • Observe and document children's progress and behavior, sharing insights with the lead teacher and parents.
Communication
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents, addressing questions, concerns, and sharing updates on their child's development.
Classroom Organization
  • Assist in maintaining a well‑organized classroom with age‑appropriate learning materials and resources.
Assist with Daily Activities
  • Assist with mealtime, naptime, and toilet training routines, ensuring children's comfort and well‑being.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood or CDA
  • Previous experience working with toddlers and preschool‑aged children
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
  • Ability to create and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Note: Experience working in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred.
Job Type
