• Develop and maintain records of children's progress, including reports and data.
• Prepare and present reports to administrators, parents, and guardians as required.
• Supervise teacher assistants, volunteers, and support staff to ensure effective collaboration.
• Attend meetings and serve on committees as required.
• Administer tests to assess educational needs or progress, and collaborate with professionals to develop programs for students with special needs.
• Establish clear objectives for lessons and projects and communicate them to children.
• Identify children showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems and discuss them with supervisors and guardians.
• Keep the classroom organized, including storage of materials and equipment.
• Organize activities to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, crafts, and field trips.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities and arrange indoor and outdoor space for creative play.
• Read to students and provide materials and equipment as needed for learning.
• Supervise and evaluate assignments for teacher assistants and volunteers.
• Teach basic skills and healthy habits, and provide assistive devices for disabled students as needed.
