Qualifications

• Associates degree in Early Childhood Development or Child Development required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Development or related field preferred (2020 standard referenced).
• Minimum of three years of experience in a licensed early learning facility.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement the chosen curriculum in alignment with brain development research and child-directed learning.
• Prepare and execute daily lesson plans meeting developmental domains and whole-child support.
• Provide safe, healthy, nurturing, and responsive learning environments per State of Alaska licensing standards.
• Engage families and co-workers to promote teamwork through reflective practice.
• Participate in quality initiatives and ongoing professional development.
