United Ability in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Early Learning Assistant to work with a collaborative team in our Hand In Hand program. You will assist with lesson plans, support teachers, and help children learn and grow in a nurturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, lift up to 30 lbs and participate in physical activities.
  • Successful completion of DHR suitability, background check, drug screen and physical.

  • Collaborating with another teacher in the classroom, you will assist the teacher with implementing the lesson plans and curriculum.

Days and hours will vary depending on need. We will work with your schedule. The center is open Monday-Friday from 7:00am-6:00pm.
