Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a Teacher in the Ashburn, VA area for full-time work with infants. The role involves creating hands-on activities, maintaining open communication with parents, ensuring a safe and clean classroom, and providing coverage across centers or nearby locations.

The position is in-person with a shift from 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Ideal candidates have 1 year of teaching experience in child care or preschool, knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices,

Qualifications

• Candidates must pass state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements.
• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required.
• College-level coursework in early childhood education, CDA, or an associate or bachelor's degree in early education or related field is preferred.
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children is required

Physical Requirements

• Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies


• Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is between $21.25 - $25.95 per hour . The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors
