Job summary

Bright Horizons in Apex, NC is seeking dedicated teachers for full-time positions with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The role is in-person, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, with opportunities to pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost.

You will create hands-on activities, communicate with families, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom. Requirements include HS diploma or GED, CDA or ECE coursework, and at least one year of teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Pass required state and company background checks.
• 18+ years old with HS diploma or GED.
• College coursework in early childhood education, CDA, or related degree.
• 1 year of teaching experience in child care, daycare, or preschool.
• Know developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).

Qualifications

• Candidates must pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:
• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
• College‑level coursework in early childhood education, EDU 119, CDA, or an associate or\'s bachelor's degree in early education or related field is required
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is required
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children is required

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, or hold children with a range of weight from 10 to 40 pounds; occasionally lift, carry, or hold weight more than 40 pounds

Salary/Hourly Rate and Other Compensation Disclosures

The hourly pay for this position is between $19.00 to $23.20 per hour. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
