Ampersand Therapy is hiring an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to support preschool students (ages 3-5) in Aurora, CO. You will provide specialized instruction and early intervention services that help build foundational academic, communication, social-emotional, adaptive, and behavioral skills.

This full-time, 1.0 FTE position starts August 2026 and offers a Monday-Friday schedule, W-2 employment with liability insurance, healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with company match,

Qualifications

• Colorado Department of Education Teaching License with Special Education endorsement.
• Early Childhood Special Education endorsement preferred.
• Experience with preschool-aged children preferred.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills.
• Passion for supporting young learners and their families.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs for preschool-aged students.
• Provide specialized instruction in communication, social-emotional development, adaptive skills, and pre-academic areas.
• Create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning activities.
• Support students with varying developmental delays and disabilities.
• Collaborate with families, therapists, and educational staff to support student success.
• Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and maintain compliant documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and positive behavior supports.
• Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.

What We're Looking For

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Teaching License with Special Education endorsement
• Early Childhood Special Education endorsement preferred

• School-based experience preferred but not required
