Job summary

Community Action, Inc. of Central Texas in San Marcos, TX is seeking a Program Floater for Early Childhood Education. This regular full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM, reporting to the Site Supervisor.

You will assist classroom teachers, help with setup and supervision, adhere to Head Start standards, and support families. Must have a High School Diploma or GED; basic computer skills; and ideally six months in early childhood development; bilingual in Spanish and English

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Six months experience in Child Development or Early Childhood Education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops positive relationships with parents and communicates with them regularly.
• Assists in classroom setup, instructional activities, parent meetings, and supervision with teachers.
• Follows Head Start standards, licensing requirements, and safety guidelines in the classroom.
• Prepares instructional materials and cleans up after lessons.
• Reports to the Site Supervisor and covers shifts as needed.
