Responsibilities include designing age-appropriate curriculum, maintaining routines, fostering independence through play, collaborating with staff and leadership, and communicating with families about progress and daily updates.

Qualifications

• 12 semester (or 18 quarter) units in Early Childhood Education, including coursework in child development, curriculum, and family/community.
• Experience working with preschoolers in a licensed child care setting preferred.
• Deep patience, nurturing instincts, and a genuine love for children and early learning.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with both children and families.
• Reliable, collaborative, and committed to high-quality care and education

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum focused on sensory exploration, early language, gross and fine motor development, and social-emotional growth
• Foster a consistent and comforting daily routine that supports toddlers’ need for structure and security
• Encourage independence through gentle guidance, responsive caregiving, and purposeful play
• Collaborate with fellow early childhood educators and school leadership to ensure alignment in instructional practices and care standards
• Communicate daily with parents through verbal updates, digital reports, and informal check-ins
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment aligned with licensing standards and school policies
