Jewish Family Service of Metropolitan Detroit seeks an Early Childhood Para Educator to support at‑risk children aged 2–5 in congregational and day school programs. You will provide one‑on‑one instruction under licensed staff and help foster inclusive classrooms.

Hours and sites are flexible; programs run 6–8 weeks per child with possible extensions. Travel to all school locations is required and collaboration with families is essential.

Formación

• Classroom experience in early childhood settings.
• Experience working with children receiving special education services.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule; strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide one on one instruction for children requiring social/emotional and/or academic support.
• Keep ongoing observations records.
• Attend required meetings and professional training.
• Support and assist students in meeting classroom and school expectations of appropriate behavior.
• Model and prompt appropriate behavior, including small group work to reinforce social skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and work with families under supervision.
• Be willing to travel to all school location sites.
