Job summary

Memorial Health System is seeking an on-site dietary assistant to prepare nutritionally balanced, family-style meals for Memorial Child Care children and staff. You will plan menus within the center budget, maintain inventory, and reorder supplies as needed, while meeting state and federal nutrition requirements.

Plans menus taking into account the center budget and state and federal nutritional requirements for children. Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and orders replacement supplies as needed. Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Licensure/Certification/Registry:
  • Certification in Food Service Sanitation by the State of Illinois Department of Public Health required.
  • Illinois Gateways to Opportunity Registry member
  • Provide 3 letters of reference per DCFS requirements
  • Hold or be able to obtain, within 90 days, First Aid/CPR certification
• Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Maintain 20 hours of in-service hours each fiscal year, 5 hours must be from a Gateway Registry-approved training.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Pay Transparency

$16.00 - $23.64. Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
