Job summary

Temple Beth Shalom’s TBS Children’s Center seeks an enthusiastic full-time teacher to shape a joyful, inclusive learning environment. You will develop hands-on, play-based learning, collaborate with the teaching team, and foster a strong connection with families to support each child’s growth.

You will monitor progress, adapt curricula to student needs, and uphold health and safety standards while remaining a lifelong learner actively reflecting on your practice.

Qualifications

• Must enjoy teaching young children and promoting children’s play.
• Ability to guide children’s learning within a developmental context.
• Strong communication with families and willingness to teach adults.
• Commitment to health, safety, and emotional well-being of children.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate classroom pedagogy aligned with school goals and values.
• Monitor development and learning and partner with families to share information.
• Supervise substitutes and classroom volunteers to maintain program quality.
• Collaborate with teaching team to adapt curriculum to children’s needs and interests.
