Qualifications

• A passion for early childhood education.
• Be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the children and center.
• Be able to build and nurture relationships with children and adults.
• Childcare experience working with young children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Encourage children by preparing and managing an engaging environment that fosters independence and self-selection of learning activities.
• Work cooperatively with the teachers to implement our play based curriculum.
• Establish warm and responsive relationships that allow each child to feel recognized, acknowledged and secure.
• Maintain a healthy, safe and clean environment for children and team members.
• Develop trusted relationships with families by communicating on a regular and ongoing basis to relay information about each child's day.
• Support the teacher in noticing and documenting child development observations.
• Ensure all state licensing rules and regulations are adhered to, including those for NAEYC accreditation, Paths to QUALITY™, CACFP and Indiana child care center licensing.
