Job summary

UK King’s Daughters is seeking a dedicated child development assistant to supervise and ensure the safety and well‑being of children in a daycare setting. You will monitor both individual and group needs, stepping in during lead teacher absences and promoting positive interactions and developmental growth.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma (an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred) and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and ensures safety of children at all times.
• Monitors individual and group needs; responds promptly to concerns.
• Assists with classroom activities in lead teacher's absence; supports development of children.
• Maintains communication with parents while ensuring confidentiality.
• Performs duties as assigned by Site Director/Administrative Director.
• Disinfects toys and materials; ensures clean classroom environment.
• Reports suspected child abuse or neglect per policy.
