Job description

Westside Waldorf School is seeking administrative support for our Early Childhood Center.

The EC Administrator will support the EC program with curriculum needs, tours, outreach, and marketing, including introductory parent-child classes.

They would be a welcoming presence for all faculty, parents, students, and visitors to the campus and field phone calls and inquiries into the program. This position would also be a resource for faculty and be available to support with student needs and provide substitution when needed.

Waldorf teaching experience, a strong ability and willingness to support and collaborate with Early Childhood colleagues, and an ability to communicate effectively with parents, particularly about Waldorf Education, is essential. Attendance at school events, faculty meetings, parent evenings, and festival celebrations is required.

Position Requirements

  • Waldorf teaching certification from a recognized institution
  • A minimum of 8 years Waldorf EC lead teaching experience
  • Minimum 12 Early Childhood (ECE) credits (bonus if + 3 administrative credits)
  • A commitment to working out of Anthroposophy
  • A dedication to excellence in teaching and recognition of the importance of self-development, parent education, and collegial collaboration
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Primary Responsibilities

  • Administrative
  • Ensures safe and effective operation and oversight of the Early Childhood Center
  • Ensures compliance with regulations and licensure
  • Facilitates emergency protocols and incident reports in case of injuries
  • Point person for disaster preparedness
  • Is the liaison for local police and emergency services
  • Outreach, marketing, and in-reach
  • Administering and enrolling for the Parent and Child Outreach program
  • Monitoring the Early Childhood Center office and fielding calls
  • Facilitating Parent Child program as needed in collaboration with PC teacher
  • Supporting with Early Childhood admissions tours
  • Guiding program’s social media presence
  • Program and faculty support
  • Supporting the EC teachers as needed
  • Collecting and submitting daily EC attendance
  • Supporting EC festival life
  • Presence and facilitation of morning drop off and pick up time
