Acquire4Hire seeks an assistant teacher to support a classroom of children aged 6 weeks to 36 months under a supervising teacher. You will help foster development through positive guidance, routine, and caring interactions.

Role requires reliability, punctuality, and the ability to communicate with families. Nighttime cleaning by a third party is mentioned; on-site work is expected during approved hours.

Qualifications

• Assistant teachers must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with young children preferred, with three professional references if possible.
• Access to reliable transportation to commute to work.
• Ability to smile, listen, engage positively with children and families.

Assistant teachers play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and development of children aged 6 weeks to 36 months in our care, working under the guidance of a classroom teacher.

What You'll Do

• Employing positive discipline techniques to foster independence, self-regulation, and social skills in children
• Supporting children in developing essential self-help skills
• Maintaining accurate records
• Establishing effective communication with families
• Maintaining confidentiality at all times
• Exhibiting conduct and professionalism at all times
• Maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment
• Implementing curriculum that aligns with the CTELDS to support children's growth and development
• Gathering data on children's growth and development in alignment with the CTDOTS
• Maintaining up-to-date certifications - CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, Background checks, CT Charts-A-Course Registry, current statement of good health, Covid vaccinated
• Demonstrating reliability and punctuality in all aspects of work

Requirements

• Assistant teachers must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with young children, preferably with three professional references
• Access to reliable transportation
• The ability to display a genuine smile and make others feel special, provide helpful information, listen attentively, and engage positively with children
