Community Action Program for Central Arkansas, Inc. is seeking a capable aide to support classroom teachers in Head Start. Under supervision, you will observe children, plan activities, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Candidates need a high school diploma or GED with a CDA Preschool Endorsement; bilingual a plus. Start date ASAP; 10 months per year; physical requirements and travel may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with CDA Preschool Endorsement required.
• Enrolled in CDA program may be accepted if completed within 2 years of hire.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Three months experience with children ages 3–5.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a professional attitude with staff, parents, volunteers, and children at all times.
• Observe children regularly and individualize activities based on observations.
• Assist teachers by creating a warm, welcoming environment that supports growth and development.
• Ensure health and safety of children.
• Promote good eating habits and model proper table manners.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in parent meetings.
