The Goddard School in Spring, TX is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher, create engaging activities, and maintain a safe, stimulating classroom. You will help implement age-appropriate plans and nurture each child with energy and care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Experience with young children in licensed childcare or preschool setting.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass state background checks and meet education/credential requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment.
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging.
• Assist in communicating with families about their child’s progress and daily activities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment.
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment.
