Job summary

The Goddard School of Montgomeryville, PA is seeking a motivated Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging programs and managing a safe, stimulating classroom. Join our welcoming team and bring energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to daily teaching activities in a premium Early Childhood setting.

You will help deliver age-appropriate lessons, foster positive development, and communicate with families about their child’s progress in a nurturing, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Empathy and compassion for young children.
• Ability to work productively without supervision; basic understanding of child development.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass state background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment.
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging.
• Assist in communicating with families about their child's progress and daily activities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment.
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment.
