Job summary

Primrose School of Buford is hiring an Assistant Teacher to inspire and support children aged 6 weeks through 5 years in a nurturing classroom. You will assist lead teachers with daily plans and activities, monitor safety, and promote social and emotional growth.

You will communicate with families about progress, participate in ongoing professional development, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment. CPR/First Aid readiness is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with young children in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; early childhood coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities.
• Support children's social and emotional development through positive interactions.
• Supervise children during playtime, ensuring safety and engagement.
• Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and needs.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all children.
• Assist with meal and snack times, promoting healthy eating habits.
