Job summary

Little Learners in Cornelia, GA is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher and help provide a safe, nurturing environment for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers.

You will assist with daily activities, routines, and family communication; the role offers flexible hours and opportunities for professional development, with duties including supervising, preparing materials, and maintaining cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with young children preferred.
• Background check and fingerprinting required by Georgia state law.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it within the first 45 days of employment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher with age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Provide a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all children in the daycare setting.
• Supervise children closely during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Assist with daily routine tasks including feeding, diapering/toileting, and naptime transitions.
• Help maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards.
• Observe and document children's developmental progress and daily behavior.
• Engage with parents and guardians warmly, providing updates on their child's day.
