The Frances Jacobson Early Childhood Center (FJECC) at Temple Israe has openings (part-time and full-time) for caring and nurturing teachers to work in our afternoon program. Beginning in early September, 2026, we are looking to fill at least one 12:30-5:30pm position, with more hours available if desired. We are a Jewish early childhood program within a large Reform Congregation and serve a diverse community of students ages 20 months to 5 years old. We are a Reggio-inspired, constructivist program which joyouslyintegrates quality Jewish and secular education.
Working on a team (a mix of lead and assistant teachers) you will care for the physical and emotional well-being of up to 20 mixed-age preschool children during the "Extended Hours" portion of our day from 1:00-5:30pm. Responsibilities include:
Our school is open from September until early June and follows the Brookline Public Schools calendar, plus additional Jewish holidays. Conveniently located in the Longwood Medical Area in Boston, we are less than a mile to Coolidge Corner in Brookline and easily accessible by public transportation. This is a 10-month position, with the opportunity to work for all or part of the summer at our summer camp.
