Port Washington Children's Center (PWCC) is seeking a Seasonal Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to support our teaching team during the summer program in Port Washington, NY. This position offers the opportunity to grow into a full-time role for the right candidate.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Seasonal Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to support our teaching team during the summer program. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in implementing daily classroom activities and lesson plans
• Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth

• Assist with transitions, meals, and rest periods
• Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and families
• Follow all OCFS and center health & safety regulations

Qualifications:

• Experience working with young children (preschool or daycare setting preferred)
• High school diploma required; coursework in early childhood education a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic attitude
• Ability to engage actively with children throughout the day
• Must be reliable and punctual

Schedule:

• Seasonal summer position (dates to be determined)
• Monday-Friday, hours may vary based on program needs

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience
