Job description

Job Summary: We are seeking a full-time certified Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our infant room team! You will be responsible for working alongside classroom teachers to help care for our youngest students. The ideal candidate is energetic, nurturing, patient, and engaging. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

1. Provide basic care to infants such as feedings, diapering, and communication with families.
2. Help facilitate classroom lesson plans provided by the lead teacher.
3. Assist with required licensing protocols for sanitizing, documentation, etc.
4. Work cooperatively with classroom teachers helping children reach social, emotional, physical, and intellectual milestones.
5. Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities at pick-up.
6. Not be afraid to have fun, be silly, and get creative!

Shift alternates between 8am to 5pm and 8:30am to 5:30pm.

Qualifications

1. Early Childhood Assistant Teaching certification or the qualifications to apply for the certificate.
2. Previous experience in the field.
3. Completion of TECE 1 coursework or completion of early childhood HS pathway, or some college credits in early childhood.
4. Strong understanding of child development.
5. Dependability as consistency is important for classroom management.
6. First aid/CPR certified preferred.

Pay is commensurate with experience.
