Framatome in Lynchburg, VA, invites you to join as an Early Careers Mechanical Engineer I. This full-time onsite position offers hands-on design, development, and testing work within the nuclear energy sector, supporting safety and reliability of power systems.

You will work under a mentor, apply standard engineering practices, and grow through CAD modeling, programming exposure, and collaboration with senior engineers. A Mechanical Engineering degree and US work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of engineering standards, techniques and criteria.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do Day-To-Day

Perform standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks, resolution of field problems, and resolution of quality events.

• Develop awareness of government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards with support of senior staff.
• Under a mentor's guidance, evaluate, select and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.

• Salary: $78,000-$82,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
