RDQ, Inc. in Denver, CO / San Diego, CA is seeking an Early Career Engineer II to join our civil/mechanical engineering team on transmission and distribution projects.

You'll prepare and review drawings, coordinate with others, and support design work from concept through construction, with travel to client sites as needed. Ideal candidates have EIT or Engineer-in-Training, a civil or mechanical degree, and 2–4 years in utility work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/mechanical engineering required.
• 2–4 years of utility work experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively participate as part of a project team.
• Desire, aptitude, and motivation to learn and apply new concepts.
• Fundamentals of Engineering / Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required (or ability to obtain within one year).

Responsabilités

• Preparing and reviewing working drawings, details, layouts, surveys, estimates, and work products.
• Performing independent design tasks and organizing drawings while receiving supervision.
• Using prescribed methods, performing specific and limited portions of broader assignments of experienced level person.
• Coordinating with the work of others who assist in specific assignments.
• Exercising initiative, judgment and knowledge as required in areas of responsibility.
