WDP is seeking an Early Career Engineer/Designer to join our team of consultants in Charlottesville, VA. You will gain diverse experience from investigation through design to construction administration, with mentorship from industry leaders to advance your career.

Typical projects include structural failure investigations, building enclosure evaluations, and facade/roofing rehabilitation. Strong ambition and dedication to a lasting career in AEC are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Building Science, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• 0 to 4 years of related experience.
• Ability to travel occasionally.
• Desire to engage in hands-on field investigations.
• Valid driver's license, driving history, and background verifications.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.

Responsabilités

• Conduct structural failure investigations and building enclosure evaluations.
• Assist with historic preservation, facade and roofing rehabilitation, and restoration design.
• Support forensic engineering analyses and project documentation.
• Collaborate with team to develop practical field-tested solutions.
• Assist project teams through investigation to construction administration.
• Contribute to client communications and reporting.
