Job summary

Invesco is offering a 9-week Summer Internship Program within Global Business Services and the Global Controller team to support critical accounting and reporting across North America and EMEA. You’ll participate in orientation, networking events, development workshops, and volunteer activities while learning from talented teams.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and graduating by summer 2028.
  • Accounting major is required.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis; no sponsorship.
  • Must be able to work in an Invesco office in the program location.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounting for North America and EMEA expenses.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and analysis in GL systems.
  • Support AR processes, track payments and reconcile accounts.
  • Assist with SEC reporting and SOX controls.
  • Monitor daily share transactions and assist with monthly expense reporting.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits and respond to ad hoc requests.
  • Contribute to month-end accrual preparation and close.
  • Assist with AI solution evaluation and automation opportunities.

Ready to make your mark in global finance organization? Spend an unforgettable summer at Invesco alongside a select group of driven students. Our 9-week Summer Internship Program offers you the opportunity to work within Global Business Services (GBS) and the Global Controller team, supporting critical accounting and reporting functions across North America and EMEA. As part of our Summer Internship Program cohort, you’ll participate in orientation, networking events, development workshops, and volunteer activities. You’ll work side by side with talented teams to learn about the business and contribute to meaningful initiatives that shape our financial processes and reporting standards. If you enjoy working with numbers, analyzing data, and supporting compliance efforts, this role offers a unique opportunity to apply your skills in a dynamic environment. You’ll help manage accounting processes, assist with public company SEC reporting, and contribute to audits and process improvements. What You’ll Do
  • Assist with accounting for North America and EMEA expenses
  • Utilize general ledger applications to prepare monthly journal entries and perform monthly/quarterly account analysis
  • Support Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including tracking payments, reconciling accounts, and resolving discrepancies
  • Assist with SEC reporting and compliance: contribute to preparation of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K), quarterly disclosure committee materials, and SOX controls
  • Monitor and reconcile daily share transactions, prepare wire transfers, and support monthly expense reimbursement reportingFacilitate internal and external audits and respond to ad hoc requests to support senior management decision-making
  • Compile data for business partners to review accruals during month-end and quarter-end close
  • Support quarterly metrics reporting and process improvement initiatives
  • Participate in team meetings with Accounting leadership to explore ways to streamline and improve processes
  • Support the evaluation, testing, and adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions by identifying opportunities to improve business processes, assisting with the development and validation of AI agents and automation tools, and analyzing outcomes to ensure effectiveness, accuracy, and alignment with business objectives
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as necessary

Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and graduating by summer of 2028
  • A major in accounting is required
  • General knowledge of accounting principles gained through coursework
  • Must be able to work in one of Invesco’s offices where the program is available
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. We do not offer any type of employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program. Invesco will not provide any assistance or sign any documentation in support of any other form of immigration sponsorship or benefit including optional practical training (OPT) or curricular practical training (CPT)
  • Relocation and housing will not be included if an offer is extended
