WSP USA is seeking an Early Career Fire and Life Safety Engineer to join our team in Arlington, VA; Boston, MA; Columbia, MD; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; and New York, NY. The position focuses on supporting design, analysis, and verification of fire protection and life safety systems across public and private projects.

You will assist with code research, concept development, and performance-based design strategies while learning from seasoned engineers. Travel may be project-dependent.

Formación

• Bachelor or Master degree in Fire Protection Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with fire protection focus.
• 0–1 year of fire protection and life safety experience.
• Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
• Clear, professional written and spoken communication.

Responsabilidades

• Assist design of fire protection and life safety systems (sprinklers, detection, smoke management, egress).
• Contribute to fire engineering calculations including smoke modeling and evacuation analyses.
• Support commissioning of fire alarm, suppression, and life safety systems.
• Review drawings for code compliance and support basis of design documents.
• Complete training on assigned tasks and adhere to safety policies.
